What is a VLS module? A VLS Module is an interactive teaching tool designed to provide you with "real world" content, training and examples going well beyond written text. It walks you through the procedures so that you 'experience' the actual activities required to accomplish your task.

Les Cowie - Founder and Chief Developer of Visual Learning Systems
Les Cowie has an extensive background in developing multi-media education programs. Beginning in South Africa, Les formed Visicon and developed video-based training programs to teach high technology skills in 14 different languages. Combined with simple simulators and practical on-the-job experience, Les learned how to reduce occupational training periods from years to months, even weeks.
Les came to the US in 1987. Through contracts with 3M Company, IBM and GMD, Visicon extended their effective learning approach to mainframe computer applications in the 80s to become one of the first developers of multi-media learning programs.
Les focuses on the scripting and the visual content of the VLS modules. He works with the Content Providers to capture their presentations on video tape. He directs the team of video and audio editors.
Fran Cowie - Chief Executive Officer of Visicon dba Visual Learning Systems
Les' life and business partner is Fran Cowie. Fran has run her own desktop publishing businesses in the US producing user manuals for a number of leading Atlanta-based software companies. She is current with the latest in multi-media software. She is a skilled exponent of Macromedia's latest Flash MX 2004 application and leads the development team who integrate the video, audio and graphic animations into multi-media presentations.
